TITLE: TAP OUT

FORMAT: HALF-HOUR PILOT / SHORT FILM

LOGLINE: At the first (and last) joint Thanksgiving, a biracial college student is pressured to choose sides between his White upbringing and his Jamaican Chinese heritage.

COMP: THE FAREWELL meets KRISHA

NOTES: My mom left Jamaica when she was 12. My father is from the West Virginia backwoods “opioid epicenter of the world”. Both had different ideas on how to raise me. At the time, I was embarrassed by my heritage, and wanted nothing more than to be another suburban teen. However, this stark culture clash was a big part of what shaped me, and my voice. It's a true story, so I wanted to try and be honest with my jaded younger self and portray the misguided guidance I was shown by both sides of my family.  We still haven't had a joint thanksgiving since.

TITLE: SLEAZE

FORMAT: HALF-HOUR PILOT

LOGLINE: Four scam artists are sentenced to group therapy only to realize… it’s easier to steal when you have friends. .

COMP: GOOD TIME meets MR. ROBOT

NOTES: Based on the ransomware attacks on Riviera Beach, FL, this series is a chemistry experiment within the main characters. Finding solidarity in odd, often immoral similarity. It's still in an early phase, but I was lucky enough to get this show in a pitch deck to Snapchat originals and Facebook Watch before COVID. The pilot follows the set up- but the rest of the show truly covers the dynamics. Think Ocean's 11 meets Gen Z meets that kid you knew in high school that sold fake ID's.
